A New Toolbox for Better First- and Last-Mile Mobility Across the Danube Region
A2PT Online Toolbox – practical guidance for better first- and last-mile mobility.
The A2PT Online Toolbox is one of the key outputs of the Active2Public Transport (A2PT) project, supported by the Interreg Danube Region Programme and co-funded by the European Union. Available through klimaaktiv mobil, the Toolbox provides practical guidance for professionals working to better integrate walking, cycling and public transport.
Developed from practitioners for practitioners, the Toolbox brings together tested approaches, real-life solutions and transferable examples collected throughout the implementation of the A2PT project across the Danube Region. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution, it supports stakeholders in identifying measures that can be adapted to local and regional needs.
The Toolbox covers a wide range of topics, including:
improving first- and last-mile connectivity;
integrating walking and cycling with public transport;
mobility hubs;
bicycle parking and bicycle carriage;
planning tools, checklists and practical recommendations.
Drawing on the experience gained through the project's pilot actions, the A2PT Online Toolbox supports public authorities, mobility planners, transport operators and other stakeholders in developing more accessible, integrated and sustainable mobility systems.
